Born out of founder Alex Lyon Singer’s life-long passion for baking and entertaining, Sweet Lyon celebrates life’s special moments and inspires memories to come.
Sweet Lyon offers an extensive assortment of desserts (including gluten-free, vegan and nut free options) as well as event planning – with an emphasis on high quality local and seasonal ingredients and superior decorative materials. Along with a standard menu and pricing, Sweet Lyon offers beautifully-executed custom petite pastries and confections, perfect for any dessertscape – from a small Birthday Party to grand Gala.
Alex is dynamic and versatile chef, with years of experience in both sweet and savory kitchens, as well as a seasoned caterer and event planner. She graduated from the pastry training program at New York’s renowned French Culinary Institute, received her Associates Degree in Culinary Arts from Kendall College in Chicago and has held positions at Floriole Bakery & Café, Ritz Carlton Chicago as a Catering Coordinator and Wolfgang Puck Catering at the MCA.
